About the founder - Joanna Willoughby

I am a dedicated Physiotherapist with over five years of experience supporting NDIS participants and older adults living in the community. Understanding that each person’s needs are different, I adapt my therapy to suit complex and evolving situations, drawing on experience with diverse and high-needs clients.

My approach is centred around understanding what matters most to each individual. I provide comprehensive assessments and develop tailored therapy plans that may include rehabilitation, falls prevention, balance retraining, hydrotherapy, gym-based programs, and Clinical Pilates. Every program is designed to align with personal goals, lifestyle, and functional needs.

I am passionate about working collaboratively with participants, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure care is coordinated, practical, and empowering. I strive to create a supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and confident in their progress.

I hold a Master of Physiotherapy (2019) and a Bachelor of Human Movement (2016), along with a Diploma of Clinical Pilates. I am trained in the GLA:D® program for osteoarthritis and Mental Health First Aid, and I maintain all required professional certifications and clearances.

My commitment to disability and aged care is both professional and personal. Having close family members, including my late brother, with lived experience of disability has shaped my understanding of how meaningful compassionate, individualised care can be.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, trail running, and spending time with my husband and two young daughters.
